How Committed Are You?

How Committed Are You?

Where is your heart?

Luke 12:20-21 – But God said unto him, “Thou fool this night thy soul shall be required of you; then whose shall those things be which has provided”.   And Jesus concluded, this is how it is with those who pile up riches for themselves but are not rich in God’s sight.

Psalms2:7-8 – Here is a man that did not depend on God for safety, but trusted instead in his great wealth and looked for security in being wicked . But I am like an olive tree growing in the house of God.  I trust in His constant love forever and ever.

God has brought us through many trails and tribulations. We serve a Great God. He is a Mighty Friend. He is Lord of Lords and King of Kings. He is our mighty Protector, our Safety Measure, our Problem Solver, our Mighty Provider.  When we get our backs up against the wall and call on His Name, He open doors that seem impossible.  In other words, He parts the Red Sea for those who love Him.

Where is your heart today?  We have a God who is committed, devoted, trustworthy, faithful, loving and kind. He is there every time we need Him. God is committed to us.  But where is your heart? Can you say the same thing? Are you as committed to God as He is to you? But you would say that He is God and I am not strong enough to give my all. God says, “We are made in His image and that we have His Spirit living in us”.  We have His Grace, to do what He has called us to do and to be what He has called us to be. We have no excuse to be weak Christians. We have the same characteristics as our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Are you so concerned about your affairs that you don’t have time to spend with The Father? God wants our fellowship.  If you are about The Father’s business you won’t have time to be caught up and concerned about your affairs. God is going to take care of if you trust Him. He said “Cast your cares on me because I care for you.” Have faith in God and be patient. Stand still and see The Salvation of The Lord. All this comes back to whether you have head faith or heart faith.

Revelation 3:15- 17 – Jesus says, “Because you are neither hot nor cold, but lukewarm, I will spit you out of my mouth.” Lots of people think this scripture refers to sinners. No, He means those that have had fellowship with Him. The sinner man has never had fellowship with the Lord so He can’t spit them out. He is talking about the people in the church who give a lot of lip service but not committed action behind it. No heart service. Jesus said that He would that we be hot or cold. He cannot use lukewarm churchgoers. But you say, I believe in Jesus so what is wrong with me taking a back seat? Let me tell you that the only Jesus people see is in us and they are not willing to follow what some of them see. Some of you are a hindrance to some people’s Salvation. They see no victory- no joy- no prosperity only defeat. They don’t see love and no spiritual joy. Take a spiritual look at yourself.

Mark 7:6- Jesus said, “This people honors me with their lips but their hearts are far from me”.

Do you really love the Lord today? It is time to make a decision to honor God with your total self. Get with The Father in The Name of Jesus and yield to Him.

Peace in The Name of Jesus
