As the holiday season quickly approaches, let us who know the Lord be mindful that we have already received the greatest gift of all: The Lord Jesus Christ (John 3:16)
So yes, shop if you so desire
Exchange gifts, if you so choose
Put up your Christmas décor, if that is your want
However, never forget the REAL reason for the Season
On an old, rugged cross, 2,000 years ago, Christ the Savior died for the sins of mankind.
Yes, Christ the Savior was born, and yes, he died, and glory to God, he has risen…
And all who receive Him, truly receive the greatest gift of all
Thank God for all the merriment and celebration that accompanies this holiday
But most of all, let us thank God, that if we don’t receive anything else this season, we have already received the Greatest Gift of All – JESUS!
